Welcome to the Town of Prospect’s website. Prospect is a small town with a population of approximately 720 and is located between Stockton Springs and Frankfort. The town office is located at the corner of Route 174 and Hawes Bridge Road behind the Prospect Fire Station which is in the same building.

ARE YOU INTERESTED IN THE SOLAR ORDINANCE? HAVE QUESTIONS OR CONCERNS ABOUT IT?

The Prospect Planning Board is in the process of writing a Solar Ordinance. It is a great opportunity to have public input. All residents, voters, and land owners are invited to come to our meetings as we go article-by-article and have your voice heard. We meet on the second and fourth Thursday of every month. November 4, 2025 is state wide voting on two ballots issues. Please plan ahead to ensure you can get your votes counted.

To anyone planning to bring their child to the Prospect Community Club’s annual Children’s Christmas Party on Saturday December 13, 2025 – 11:30 AM to 2:30 PM

Would you please call Linda Gamble at 567-3615 with the name, age, gender and interests of each child you plan to bring. We would like to have appropriate gifts for each child. Would also want to be sure of having enough gifts for all the children that come this year.

The Town of Prospect has several volunteer opportunities available. Critical need especially for three volunteers to join the budget committee. For more information, go to the “Volunteering” tab at the top of this page.
